Jerry Spanhanks, Shirley Mauch Spanhanks, Nick Larson, Bruce Johnson and Mark Fischer are Blue Wolf. The love of bluegrass music brings this pack of musicians together.  Jerry Spanhanks on the guitar and dobro entertains the audience with his smooth and innovative picking. Shirley Mauch Spanhanks flatpicks the guitar and sings lead and harmony.  Nick Larson, is the mandolin player and fantastic lead singer.    A very accomplished banjo player,  Bruce Johnson, puts the drive in the band.  Mark Fischer plays bass and  is the backbone behind  Blue Wolf.

Blue Wolf's has three CD's to it's name:"Red River Moon", "Brown Shingle Shack" and the third all instrumental Dobro CD "Wolf's Run" was released in March of 2012. The "Red River Moon" CD was one of four CD's nominated in the bluegrass/old-time music category at the 2003 Minnesota Music Awards.
